The remaining of the Extratropical storm PAULA (7 October 960 Hpa - sea surface +14°C) moved south east and acquired a warm core and tropical or subtropical caracteristic on 9-10 October giust north west Spain coast ( 994 Hpa - sea surface +20°).
The little system have 35 knts wind (tropical storm intensity) .

Fantastico compañero, yo llevaba toda la noche observando y pense herroneamente que era el vortice principal de Paula que estaba convirtiendose en una pequeña BFA, buena vista sin duda y Gayle se lo esta perdiendo ;D....que pena que en teoria se valla para Marruecos y no entre por el estrecho direccion Andalucia Oriental para salir al calorcito del mediterraneo del mar de Argel o de las Baleares que entonces si que explotaria la cosa.

In the other hand, this is another good example of nice tranformarion of the convective core of a deep cold low. Last year was GRACE... But, some more cases in other years before are very similar. The eastern Atlantic, the new nest of little tropical cyclone activity, man! ;)
