Se mueve en dirección WNW (directito a Filipinas). Se prevee que siga reforzándose. SST favorable. Se mueve en aguas entorno a 30ºC, aunque entra en aguas algo más frías de entre 25-28ºC.

Que pasa con el pacífico este año??? Se ha vuelto como el atlántico? vaya huracanes que están saliendo de este mar...y yo que pensaba que era un mar tranquilo y por eso le llamaban pacífico.
Que salvaje se está poniendo...y vamos...las filipinas...se están comiendo todos.
En cambio este año el Atlántico está muy calmadito.
El siguiente que va para filipinas tiene una pinta brutal también.

Va directo a Filipinas y el Dr. Jeff Masters le dedica unas palabras a esta bestia que se cierne sobre Filipinas:
Typhoon Lupit una catástrofe mayor potencial para Filipinas
Categoría 4 Super Typhoon Lupit está estancado a lo largo del Mar de Filipinas al noreste de la isla de Luzón en Filipinas, pero se espera que reanude su camino oeste hacia las Filipinas el lunes. Dependiendo de si el huracán toque tierra en el norte de Luzón o no, Lupit (la palabra filipina para crueles) tiene el potencial de la altura de su nombre, si toca tierra como super tifón el jueves, tal como está previsto.

LA estructura de LUPIT en la última imagen del satélite muestra que el ciclón ha perdido su ojo y su aspecto general parece haber adquirido una forma elíptica, lo que sugiere que se ha debilitado............ Ojalá sea así y que no vuelva a reorganizarse mientras llega a las Filipinas, y así los daños sean menores de lo esperado.

El tifón está ejecutando un ciclo de reemplazamiento del ojo :o :o :o :o :o Se ve claramente en las imágenes multisensor, con la formación de un nuevo ojo, muy grande, exterior:

LUPIT ha seguido perdiendo fuelle, hasta la categoría 1 en la escala de Saffir Simpson............ Aun así, gran potencial destructivo para las Filipinas...
