   Product Name & Description

0° Service   Real-time imagery is available from the Meteosat Second Generation satellites from the following SEVIRI spectral channels: IR3.9, IR10.8, VIS0.6 and WV6.2.

57° Service   Real-time images are available from the Meteosat First Generation satellite Meteosat-7 from all three MVIRI spectral channels IR11.5, VIS0.7 and WV6.4.

Metop   Metop real-time imagery is available from the following AVHRR channels: IR10.8 and VIS0.6.

  Available Derived Products

      Product Name & Description

OrbitView   OrbitView is an RGB composite based on Metop AVHRR channels 1, 2 and 4. It is a concatenation of sequential images.

EPSFlight   The EPSFlight product displays two AVHRR PDUs with orbit information attached. It is an RGB composite based on data from the AVHRR channels 1, 2 and 4.

E-View   The E-View product is an RGB composite based upon data from the Meteosat Second Generation satellite. It is dedicated to detailed cloud monitoring of the European region. It is based on data from the SEVIRI High Resolution Visible channel combined with data from the IR10.8 channel.

DUST   The Dust product is an RGB composite based upon infrared channel data from the Meteosat Second Generation satellite. It is designed to monitor the evolution of dust storms during both day and night. The Dust RGB is composed from data from a combination of the SEVIRI IR8.7, IR10.8 and IR12.0 channels

ASH   The Ash product is an RGB composite based upon infrared channel data from the Meteosat Second Generation satellite. It is designed to detect ash and sulphur dioxide (SO2) from volcanic eruptions which can be used for the provision of warnings to aviation authorities. The Ash RGB is composed from data from a combination of the SEVIRI IR8.7, IR10.8 and IR12.0 channels.

     FOG / LOW CLOUDS
(NIGHT-TIME)   The Fog / Low Clouds product is an RGB composite based upon infrared channel data from the Meteosat Second Generation satellite. It is designed and tuned to monitor the evolution of night-time fog / low stratus. Other (secondary) applications are the detection of fires, low-level moisture boundaries and cloud classification in general. It should be noted that as the product is tuned for night-time conditions, its use during day-time is very limited. The Fog / Low Clouds RGB is composed from data from a combination of the SEVIRI IR3.9, IR10.8 and IR12.0 channels

FIRE   FIRE is an image-based product in full pixel resolution that displays information on the presence of fire within a pixel. Fire detection is based on the measured radiant heat output on Earth surface. The underlying concept of the algorithm takes advantage of the fact that the MSG SEVIRI channel IR3.9 is very sensitive to ‘hot spots’ which are caused by fires. The algorithm distinguishes between potential fire and active fire.

AIRMASS   The Airmass product is an RGB composite based upon data from infrared and water vapour channels from Meteosat Second Generation. It is designed and tuned to monitor the evolution of cyclones, in particular rapid cyclogenesis, jet streaks and PV (potential vorticity) anomalies. Due to the incorporation of the water vapour and ozone channels, its usage at high satellite viewing angles is limited. The Airmass RGB is composed from data from a combination of the SEVIRI WV6.2, WV7.3, IR9.7 and IR10.8 channels

GII   GII is a product which consists of a set of indices which describe the layer stability of the atmosphere. These indices are highly empirical in nature and might even be only relevant in certain geographic regions or under certain circumstances. Usually, each of these indices is defined such that it describes a potentially unstable layering if it exceeds a certain threshold.

MPE   The Multi-Sensor Precipitation Estimate (MPE) product consists of the rain rate in mm/hr for each Meteosat image in original pixel resolution. The algorithm is based on the combination of passive microwave data from the SSM/I instrument on the US-DMSP satellites and images in the Meteosat IR channel by a so-called blending technique. .

Buena noticia sin duda. Que algunas Agencias Estatales se apliquen el cuento  ;)
