Me recuerda muchísimo al superciclón MONICA de 2006 en esta cuenca oceánica, y que supuso un record de presión mínima. Están naciendo en zonas similares, aunque YASI hará impacto mucho antes de como evolucionó MONICA, que barrió la costa norte australiana.
