1. An area of disturbed weather located about 1100 miles south southwest of Honolulu, Hawaii remains nearly stationary. Showers and isolated thunderstorms associated with this system have been persistent for the past 18 hours. However, strong upper level winds in the vicinity of this disturbance appear to be unfavorable for significant development. There is a low chance, near 10 percent, of this system becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours.
Elsewhere, no tropical cyclones are expected through Tuesday evening.Uploaded with
