Well... I'm not sure about what do you want to know... Supercells in Spain are not as usual as other European Countries, especially from eastern Europe... Nevertheless, there are always some especial cases that deserve all of our attention.

In the other hand, I don't consider the plains of Castilla y Leon as the best place in Spain to chase supercells; I would chose an area which includes Teruel, Cuenca and Castellón, all places in Eastern Spain. Sometimes, SE cuadrant could be a great supercell nest (Granada - Jaén - Almería - Murcia - Albacete).

See you! :D

Well, I'm from Castilla y Leon, Burgos specifically. East of tierra de campos.

Supercells little respect, but for tornadoes, it is an area where it is not uncommon as other counties to occur, are usually small, but some F3 has occurred.
Specifically sores in San Leonardo de Yagüe - Navaleno, Soria. (01-06-1999)

It is very difficult, very, very difficult, but could get some pictures of the wreckage of the tornado. It's one of my reports to put earrings in this forum.

As a storm chaser, I've been lucky enough to happen to me one over as he was driving in Castañares (Burgos) and I think by that village also has spent close to another. This has happened about 5 years ago.

The month view is recommended for May. The San Leonadro de Yagüe almost coincides with my guess.

Is in May 25-05-2009 at 2:00 pm when I could catch one in my own house in Burgos City.
Tornado en Burgos City

and the remnants of the tornado passed just above where he lived.

In May 2008 I see a cloud generated a tornado touched ground, the remnants generated a kind of green cloud, and I pass and tore young wheat leaves in its wake, I saw him touch down briefly, 1 min.

It is also in May when the video camera could capture a tornado MALL from the capital Alcazar (Segovia) First there was a tuba, then fine n just become noticeable by the video camera.
Storm in Segovia

However, the probability of occurrence of a tornado in this area are not higher than elsewhere in Spain and Europe. I think that France has the same possibilities.
Another thing is that ..... I personally think that the Balearic Islands, Barcelona, Huelva, Cadiz and Malaga are slightly a little better than other sites.
Tornados in SPAIN

A greeting and I hope I have been helpful.
In part I agree with Gale and I certainly believe that about Teruel, Castellon, Gerona,Barcelona, Baleares supercells, storms ..... have better, more spectacular and the probability of supercells is somewhat higher than in the rest of Spain.

thanks again for your help and links  ;). Mr miquel gaya give me this pictures from san leonardo de Yague tornado damages. It's and very incridible forest damages maybe like Mosquerela in Teruel in august 1999. If some stormchasers could see the storm that gave rise to the tornado that would  been amazing  ;D. I have read many things about thunderstorms in Teruel ! And i thinks it's a real incridible place for severe weather and for tornadoes too. It's also the conclusion of Mr Miquel gaya and other scientists who study severe weather in this area. Congratulation too for your tornado Miliokos and i hope for all storm-trackers that you can see in your futur chase a tornado  ;)
